One held for vandalising MLA's home; released

The Vyyalikaval police have nabbed Sundarraj Pai, a BJP party worker who pelted stones at the house of rebel BJP MLA Anand Asnotikar.

Inspector Abdul Khadar said, "The accused Pai was frustrated with Asnotikar's move and vented his anger by pelting stones at his house on Saturday."

While Krishnegowda alleged that there is a deep political conspiracy behind the attack, the police ruled out the theory stating that it's a work of a frustrated party worker.

Asnotikar who has been elected from Karwar assembly constituency was given the Ministry of Fisheries by the BJP led government. He later rebelled to join hands with JD(S) alleging that he decided to end the corrupt BJP rule.
