In a dramatic end to a kidnapping case, a Delhi University mass communication student abducted from a store in Noida's Sector 55, on Sunday night, returned home early on Monday morning from Loni, Ghaziabad. Allegedly, she was kidnapped by her friends.
The police have taken three of her friends into custody and are saying that they were playing a prank.
The police said Meenakshi Rawat, 20, went to the C-block market with her mother and brother when they forced her into a car.
Meenakshi, the daughter of a senior government official, is a resident of Noida, Sector 12-22.
The police said they received a call at around 11 pm. "The victim's family has complained that two men stopped Meenakshi in front of the park near the Mother Dairy booth at Sector 55 and took her away."u00a0u00a0
Despite efforts Meenakshi's family could not be reached for comments.
