The name says it all. This band from Kolkata plays rock, jazz, folk, fusion and world music. The result is a potpourri of sounds that's captivating.
The band was formed in 1990. The members include Chandrani Banerjee (vocals), Vikramjit Banerjee (lead guitar), Ratanjit Banerjee, (keyboards), Jeff (drums) and Osi (bass guitar).u00a0 Chandrani and Vikramjit are called pioneers of rock in Kolkata, and Vikramjit has won accolades for his dexterity on the guitar. Their music influences include singers and bands like Jimi Hendrix, Pink Flyod, Miles Davis among others. Released in 1994, their Bengali album Aabar Bochor Kuri Porey has become a favourite with listeners across India. The song from the album was later remade by Bollywood in the movie Gangster. Their music is being aired by FM sations in UK and Australia too.

For those of you who love to listen to original compostions, Rock Ethos is back and with a blast! Known as the first ever Indian metal fest to feature original rock music, Rock Ethos is often described as India's Woodstock.
At this two-day fest, rock fans in the city can expect to be entertained thoroughly. The event is being held to promote Indian metal and rock music, and work against piracy.
Kryptos, Myndsnare, Bhayanak Maut, Slain, Galeej Gurus, Whitenoiz, Illumanti are among the 20 bands performing at the event.
The entertainment zone has paintball, gaming and bungee jumping.
