Techies who support pub culture plan to take out a peace march on Saturday on M G Road in protest againstu00a0 Sri Ram Sene's activities.

"We will voice our protest against the Hindu Talibans here," said Indraneel Mukherjee, a software engineer organising the peace march. "We will make it clear that we are for pub culture and condemn moral policing," he said.

Over three hundred techies will participate, of which fifty professionals are from other fields.u00a0 "We will walk from Trinity Church to the CM's residence," Indraneel said.

The protestors plan to submit a memorandum to the CMu00a0 seeking protection to pubs and youth visiting them.

"Besides condemning his stand on the issue, we will urge him to give us protection. They don't have any right to curb our freedom," Indraneel added.

Social activities

The organisers are also urging other Bangaloreans to support the cause through social networking sites.

But the techies are saying 'no' to politicians for the rally.u00a0"We want as many as Bangaloreans joining up as possible to protest against moral policing leading to talibanisation," Indraneel said.

u00a0"But we haven't invited any politicians as we don't the issue to be politicised," he added.
