Bikers, who claim to be Anna supporters, fomenting trouble on roads by stopping vehicles, compelling people to chant slogans
In the last few days, there have been reports of bikers creating chaos on the streets of the Capital in the name of Anna Hazare. Most of these miscreants don't wear helmets and intercept people to force them to raise slogans in favour of Anna.
Anna supporters maintain these people have no connection with them and this is being done to destabilise the movement. Speaking to MiD DAY, Neeraj Kumar, member of Team Anna, said they condemn such incidents.
"We have asked Delhi Police through our podium to prosecute those who are found guilty.
Anna himself has urged supporters not to violate traffic rules," said Neeraj. He said these people were not Anna supporters. "They are fake guys in the garb of our supporters," said Neeraj. Meanwhile, Delhi police arrested 350 supporters for violating rules on Thursday. A police official said 60 people who were protesting outside PM's House were also arrested.
"Another 290 persons were arrested near NH-8. Most had come in tempos, but the toll official and police did not let them enter in Delhi. The bikers managed to cross the toll bridge. They were taken into custody. We have lodged cases against them under Section 65 of Delhi Police act," said a police official.
