Though the film based on the play came and went sans any fanfare, Q Theatre Productions is staging the final show of Kunaal Roy Kapur's The President Is Coming. The critically-acclaimed political comedy is being staged as a farewell to George Bush at the end of his term as US President. Set in the American consulate a day before Bush's arrival in India, it takes on six leading Indian achievers under 30 who are shortlisted to undergo testsu00a0one winner earns the right to shake hands with Bush. The comedy explores the dog-eat-dog world of competition, reality television and short-lived fameu00a0a world where six ambitious young Indians will stop at nothing. The cast includes Ratnabali Bhattacharjee, Choiti Ghosh and Satchit Puranik.

Muni and Sejal create havoc
The Gujarati floorboards have been in a tizzy since the past week over Muni Jha and his wife Sejal Shah's antics, which resulted them in being ousted from Chaal Zindagi Jeevi Laye. Directed by Vipul Vithalani, the play was forced to rope in Rajesh Soni (the writer) and Pallavi Pathak (the actress wife of producer Divyesh Pathak) for a show! Last heard: The Jha couple and their demands have made the producer now look for suitable replacements. And you thought there was no action on the staid floorboards.
