The 66-years-old politician is under observation of Ramakanta Panda, cardiac surgeon and managing director of the privately-run hospital. While Dr Panda remained unavailable for comment, hospital officials said that Yadav won't be undergoing heart valve replacement surgery.
"He will go through a battery of routine tests and following that a decision will be taken by the doctors and his relatives about further course of action. His condition is stable," said a hospital official.
Last year, Yadav was admitted to Delhi's AIIMS along with Sharad Yadav after they complained of uneasiness. Doctors said his blood pressure was high at the time.
