The Congress general secretary had gone to meet victims of the High Court bomb blast at Ram Manohar Lohia hospital
Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi was also among the few visitors, who came to meet blast victims at Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital. But, the move backfired. The Gandhi scion faced an angry crowd which raised slogans against him for impeding the treatment of victims.

Half hour for victims
He reached the hospital in the afternoon and spent nearly half an hour with the victims and their family members. Gandhi sought to know from the hospital administration the nature of the injuries suffered by the victims in the blast. While leaving the hospital, a hostile crowd of relatives of the victims raised slogans 'Rahul Gandhi sharam karo, Rahul Gandhi vapas jao'. Gandhi soon left the hospital. Before that he spoke to the blast victims, about their surgery, whether they are getting proper care or not.

Some pleased
Gurmail Singh, 48, who got multiple fractures in his leg, could not speak to him much. But, he was pleased to see the young MP. "Rahulji just asked about the injuries and his condition. He said that he is extremely sad for what has happened," said Rajwinder Kaur, Gurmail's wife.
Other attendees
Apart from him, Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, SK Sharma, Registrar, Delhi High Court, Anshu Prakash, Health secretary, Lt. Governor Tejendra Khanna also came to meet patients.
