Rain rain go away!

Uneven thundershowers in the city can play a spoilsport during the RCB and Mumbai Indians match to be played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium tomorrow

Although the thundershowers in the city have provided the much needed respite to Bangaloreans from the blazing heat, the rains may possibly play a spoilsport during the IPL match to be played between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Mumbai Indians at the Chinnaswamy Stadium tomorrow.

The rains may become a party-pooper for the 38,000 cricket fans who have bought tickets for the two semi-finals that will be played on April 21 and 22.

An official from the Bangalore Meteorological Department, said, "We have issued the weather forecast for the week (until Saturday) and expect thundershowers to fall in the evening and during the night. It may rain daily or on alternative days."

He added that the thunderstorms might continue till May.

According to the India Meteorological Department, an upper air trough that has formed over coastal and interiors of southern Karnataka is responsible for the unexpected weather change.
