Former chairman of Satyam Computers B Ramalinga Raju, his brother and ex-MD Rama Raju and former CFO V Srinivas were taken into custody from Chanchalguda Jail by Andhra Pradesh police here today, reports PTI.
Former chairman of Satyam Computers B Ramalinga Raju, his brother and ex-MD Rama Raju and former CFO V Srinivas were taken into custody from Chanchalguda Jail by Andhra Pradesh police here earlier this morning, reports PTI. A local court had yesterday granted permission to the CID, investigating the Satyam fraud, to take the trio into custody for four days for further interrigation.
Agency reports say all the three accused were taken to CID's office situated at A C Guards for further interrogation into the Rs Rs 7,800-crore financial fraud, engineered by Ramalinga Raju. The Rajus were arrested on January 9 and were in judicial custody since January 10 while Srinivas was sent to judicial remand on the same day after his arrest till January 23. A five-member CID team, led by investigation officer N Balaji Rao, escorted the trio at around 1145 hrs amidst huge crowd of media persons.
