With no options left, the cops at gate number 16 of the Chinnaswamy Stadium confiscated all these items, in view of the security measures put in place by KSCA. This caused a trash pile of trash at the at entry points V Shrinivasmurthy, police inspector and in-charge of gate number 16 said, "We have been directed by senior officials not to allow anybody take anything inside the stadium."

Vijay Bharadwaj, former cricketer and security in-charge said, "We are dejected with their (spectators) behaviour, as we had categorically told them that we won't allow anything inside. However, they didn't pay any heed to our request and created a mess. " Meanwhile, Ganesh, a spectator who had carried along bottled water that was confiscated at the gate, said, "I don't know what water I would drink today, but I hope that the KSCA had made appropriate arrangements or else we'll face severe difficulties." When asked if the spectators will be provided water inside the stadium, Bharadwaj said, "We will provide water in plastic cups to everyone."
