However, we have kept her in the ICU under observation, and prima facie we do not suspect it to be a case of heart attack."
On Wednesday night, Sadhvi Pragya complained of chest pain, and was shifted from the Ayurvedic Seva Sangh hospital to Nasik Civil Hospital.
Senior prison officials confirmed the details mentioned in the confidential prison report sent to Inspector General of Prison Udhav Kamble and DIG Prisons (Aurangabad) Jagan Nath. According to Nasik jail officials, she spent most of her time in the special ward at Ayurvedic Seva Sangh hospital in Panchwati, Nasik, as per police orders.
Dr R B Kulkarni, Superintendent, Ayurvedic Seva Sangh, said Sadhvi Pragya was undergoing treatment at the 'Kaya Chikitsa department' for Prolapsed Intervetebral Disc. She was also suffering from Irritable Bowel Syndrome and would often complain of acidity.
The Sadhvi has now been discharged and sent back to the Ayurvedic Seva Sangh but is unwell and running a temperature.
