Hours after Sanjay Dutt surrendered before the court, he was taken to Arthur Road jail, where he spent the night at high-security barrack number 10 yesterday
Dutt was brought from the TADA court in south Mumbai to Arthur Road jail at 9.28 pm, and will be shifted to a central prison today, police sources said. Security around the area was beefed up, with 200 policemen manning the jail premises.

Sources said Dutt would be served dinner from a restaurant, as the jail kitchen had closed by the time he reached the jail.
The high-security
barrack number 10 was earlier assigned to gangster Mustafa Dossa and an accused arrested in the Adarsh scam. “Barrack 10, 11 and 12 are high-security barracks and are located away from the other cells,” said a police officer, on condition of anonymity.
None of the family members who escorted Dutt to the TADA court were seen accompanying him to the jail.
Dutt wont be in Arthur Road jail for long. “We have deployed heavy security outside and inside the jail, and all senior police officers are present. Dutt is likely to be shifted to a central jail early in the morning,” said the source.
