He was a smooth operator, arming the don's men, till the cops nabbed him. 
On Sunday afternoon, a day after six henchmen from underworld don Chhota Shakeel's gang were caught, the Special Cell of the Delhi Police arrested Baljeet, one of the key men who allegedly armed these sharpshooters.
The cops say Baljeet too was a part of the conspiracy to kill the lawyer of Varun Gandhi, Bharatiya Janata Party MP from Pilibhit.
Baljeet, in his thirties, was picked up by the cops from the suburbs of Outer Delhi around 2 pm on Sunday.
According to sources in the Special Cell, Baljeet was a resident of North West Delhi and had been regularly supplying arms to Chhota Shakeel's gang.
"We had been trailing Baljeet and his gang for a month. He has been arrested and we are interrogating him. He had been earlier nabbed for illegally dealing in arms and ammunition. He was involved in the conspiracy to kill Varun Gandhi's lawyer," said a police official from the Special Cell.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Special Cell) Alok Kumar confirmed the arrest but refused to divulge details.
