In what can be termed a barbaric incident, a BJP MLA was caught on camera brutally assaulting a police horse. The video of the incident has gone viral on social media

Dehradun: In what can be termed a barbaric and shocking incident, a BJP MLA was caught on camera attacking a police horse and brutally assaulting the animal.



The video that went viral on social media shows BJP MLA Ganesh Joshi snatching a lathi from a policeman on bandobast duty and attacking the police horse.


The animal has suffered multiple fractures and is unlikely to be able to walk again.

The incident occurred during a protest march against Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat lead by the BJP towards the state legislature building.

The horse was part of the security cover deployed near the legislature building.

Intolerance
Reacting to the shameful incident, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat said, “You are using lathi on a horse? I think the world tolerance in not in the BJP dictionary” Dr RS Negi said that the horse has suffered multiple fractures on its leg. “The metatarsal bone of the horse’s left leg has been broken,” said Negi.

Rawat added that all expenses for the treatment of the injured horse will be borne by the state, and additional medical assistance will be sought if required.
