Indian diplomat Vikas Swarup, who penned 'Q and A' that turned out a multiple Oscar winning film "Slumdog Millionaire", would be felicitated by the US India Business Council (USIBC) here next week.

The council will honour Swarup with the "Cultural Ties That Bind" award at a gala reception of the "Synergies Summit" to be held on June 16 to celebrate the 34th anniversary of the USIBC, the largest body of the US companies doing business in India.

Swarup is being presented with the award for his contribution in illuminating aspects of society that facilitate a deeper understanding and abiding respect for humanity, USIBC President Ron Somers said.
