A 47-year-old tutor, who is president of Chhat Pooja Samiti in south east Delhi and teaches children of staff of renowned lawyer Ram Jethmalani, was allegedly attacked by an ex-cop of Delhi police.

The incident took place in Sarai Kale Khan area of south east Delhi on Tuesday morning.
The victim, identified as Vijay Mishra, has alleged that he was attacked by Rajveer Singh, an ex-ASI of Delhi police.

Mishra said Singh is against his social work and has threatened him many a time. Three days ago he had an argument with Singh.
Hemchand Mishra, brother of victim, said that the accused wants to contest elections. "He wants that my brother should work under his supervision, so that he can gain advantage in elections.
My brother has refused his request many times because of which he was angry. On Tuesday morning he assaulted my brother," Hemchand said.
"He often threatened me over my work in the area. On Tuesday morning he stopped me when I was going for to teach some poor children and warned me with dire consequences.
When I refused, he started beating me. The passersby rescued me from Rajveer, after which I complained to the police about the incident," Vijay said.
The police said they have received a complaint in this respect and are looking into the incident.
