The student, Mrutyunjay Prasad, slipped from the terrace and died late last night after receiving serious head injuries, inspector-in-charge of Chandrasekharpur police station RN Satpathy said.
Alcohol-laced adhesives were found from his pocket, triggering suspicion that he might have fallen down under the influence of the intoxicant.
"There is a possibility that he might have been talking over phone and lost his balance.
We are also investigating possible suicide and murder angles.
"Somebody might have pushed him down," Satpathy said.
The student from Rourkela and a third-year automobile engineering student of a private engineering college was sharing a flat with four other friends on the first floor of the building. u00a0
