Maharashtra students on Wednesday were glued to their computer at 1 pm when results of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education class 12th examinations were declared.

Girls outperformed boys in the class 12th examinations, the results. The overall pass percentage in the state stood at 86.60.
The passing percentage for girls was 90.50, compared to 83.46 of boys.

The results for all the nine divisions - Pune, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Amravati, Aurangabad, Kolhapur, Latur and Konkan - were simultaneously declared on Wednesday.

Over 13,19,754 students appeared in the Class XII exam this year and out of them 11,42,882 passed. Konkan division scored highest passing percentage with 93.29 whereas Nashik was lowest with 83.99 in the state. The division wise number of candidates registered, appeared for exam, passed and the passing percentage.
