Police say arrested man recorded his sex act with woman employee, showed it to his colleagues

The Wanawadi police have arrested Prakash Muperi (51), the supervisor of the Regional Mental Hospital in Yerawada, on charges of creating and circulating obscene clips of himself having sex with an employee of the establishment. The 42-year-old victim lodged a rape complaint under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code at the Wanawadi police station. The suspect was also charged under Section 66(a) of the Information Technology Act 2008. Muperi and the victim were having an illicit affair since December 2009, said the police.

"The victim works in the mental hospital and her husband works as driver in a transport company. Her husband used to be away for days and the victim was having an illicit relationship with Muperi since the last month of 2009. They had sex several times at the victim's place and also at different lodges. Muperi recorded their act on his mobile camera, keeping the complainant in dark," said Police Sub-Inspector M S Phunde.

The officer said the victim came to know about the clip when Muperi showed it to his colleagues in the mental hospital. "Muperi started showing the MMS clip to his office colleagues last month. After this, the staff at the mental hospital started teasing and commenting on the victim. When she realised that her clip was doing the rounds, she registered a case against Muperi," said Phunde.
