For 21 years now, every October has been witnessing an entourage of chefs and foodies from France who have brought the rich French gastronomic tradition to the attention of the world. Food tasting, cooking workshops, gourmet exhibitions, special menus -- they do it all. Bringing the festival to our city, AF in partnership with Novotel and La Fromagerie has organised a wine and cheese tasting with Daniel Dubosclard, French cheese expert from Bangalore and Ravi Gurnani, Director of York Winery in Nashik.
You get to continue the celebrations by watching a documentary titled Mondovino by Jonathan Nossiter. The film is an insight into how the wine reflects the character of the land where the variety of grape is cultivated. It also talks about the impact of globalisation on wine-producing regions.
