In less than a week, two incidents have illustrated the ferocious grip of terror on the country.
Four days after three blasts rocked the business sectors inu00a0 Mumbai, a terror operative has been apprehended in Ahmedabad.
After a search of his house, ten crude bombs containing sharp metal nails, gunpowder and pellets have been recovered by the Ahmedabad police.
The man, identified as Shehzad, has also spilled the beans on two of his accomplices who have been apprehended by the police.
Based on the information provided by Shehzad, the trio are being interrogated by special teams of the Ahmedabad police.
However, the police is not letting on any further information about the operatives or their sinister plans for the city.
"A man identified as Shehzad, has been arrested. The police received a tip-off about some suspicious activity in the area and conducted a search at his house.

The team found crude bombs with some raw material used in its preparation," city police commissioner S K Sinha said.
"The bombs are crude ones which were hidden in the man's house in Danilimada," he said. Prima facie there seems to be a terror link to the incident," he added.
The police added that the bombs may have been assembled with the intention of causing mayhem during a rathyatra or a public gathering.
Last evening, the police had detained more people in connection with the crude bombs. The detainees are being interrogated by the police.
Blast from the past
The sites of triple blasts at Zaveri Bazaar, Opera House and Dadar have experienced terror attacks earlier as well. The Wednesday attack at Zaveri Bazaar was the third attempt. Two years ago, there were similar blasts in Ahmedabad and also explosive devices were recovered from Surat.
Deja Vu?
In July 2008, 16 serial blasts ripped through the walled-city of Ahmedabad. 29 people were killed and over 116 injured in the blasts that shook the population in Maninagar, Hatkeshwar, Isanpur, Narol circle, Bapunagar, Sarangpur, Sarkej and Odhav. A module of terror outfit Indian Mujahideen claimed credit for the terror attack.
