Shoe lovers have company in a blog by two ad professionals where you can upload pics and share tips on shoe mania

Wonder why shoes play such a vital part in a woman's life? A blog aptly named The Sole Sisters will give you an answer for that and other phenomena as to why women who just come out of a store after buying an expensive shoe can't stop herself from buying another beautiful pair at the roadside.

The answers come from two women with a shoe fetish ufffd art director Chondamma Kariappa and copywriter Parveez Shaikh. They started their blog a couple of months back and both work with advertising agencies in Mumbai. Their vision was to start the blog for those who share similar their equation with shoes.

"I used to travel a lot to different countries and made it a point to pick up shoes from each place. My friends used to quiz me about where I bought the shoes, the price and the brand. So, I decided to start a common platform for women to speak about shoes," says Chondamma.

The blog allows you to upload pictures of your favourite pair of shoes and even write about the place where you can pick up a cool pair of shoes.

Since it started, women from across the globe have started uploading their pictures. And while browsing the blog, wannabe shoe designers can also get some fresh ideas. But the blog is as much about the shoes as it is about the stories that go behind buying these items.

"We started off as a pictorial blog but we started getting stories by these ladies on how and why they bought that particular pair of shoes. Now it has become more interactive," she added.u00a0

Kariappa and Shaikh are now planning to turn the blog into a website which may soon become a reality if the number of members keeps increasing each passing day.
