Nearly 2,000 students of Christ University will assemble at the college auditorium today to break the world record in beat boxing

Nearly 2,000 college students will attempt to break the world record by beat boxing for about three minutes under the guidance of professional beat boxer Vineeth Vincent. In an event titled 'Can You Say Beat Box?'

junior college students from Christ University are ready to make the garden city famous by breaking the world record set at Vienna, Austria in 2009, where around 327 participants indulged in beat boxing for about two and a half minutes.

Vincent, an alumni, said, "The idea is to show that beat boxing is an art and grab the world's attention."
After giving them an initial training for few minutes, Vincent would beat box with the crowd for approximately three minutes.

The entire event will be recorded and presented to the Limca Book of Records as evidence. According to Vincent, it will take four to five weeks for the results to be declared.

Excited and confident that the university will make to the Limca Book of Records, PM Varghese, coordinator, student's services office, said, "As a college we decided to give it a shot as it is something different and youngsters can relate to it."

Saurabh KT, a participant, in the event voiced the same said, "We are confident. Also, it will be nice to hear different beats going on at the same time," he said.
