Model Simran Sood, arrested in connection with the murder of Delhi-based businessman Arun Tikku, was today remanded in the custody of Mumbai crime branch till May 4.
"Sood is completely misleading the investigation," said the crime branch officer in the court, while seeking her custody.u00a0

The officer alleged that she had been giving confusing information about her real identity. Police believe that her real name is not Simran Sood.
In a related development, stock analyst Gautam Vora was remanded in judicial custody today. Vora is accused of harbouring gangster Vijay Palande after the latter escaped from custody. The Court will hear Vora's bail plea on Monday.
Sood is Palande's wife. According to police, Palande wanted to usurp Tikku's property in Mumbai. He was arrested on April 10 for Tikku's murder, but escaped from the police custody, before being recaptured hours later.
