"Actually, it was my driver Junawane who was abused by a car owner by name of Kamthe at the parking place," said Wanjale, who yesterday attended the marriage of Shiv Sena MLA Mahadev Babar's daughter.
"The incident occurred when Junawane was taking out our car from the parking.
There was a heated exchange with Kamthe, but the issue was settled there itself. In fact, there were some youngsters with a past criminal record with the city police."
Prakash Dhore, MNS city president, said he was not aware of the incident.
Wanjale's men allegedly broke the windowpanes of the car, but an MNS worker who spoke on condition of anonymity said the MLA "settled" the issue before it could reach the police.
