Whether it's her music, name or outrageous fashion sense (who can forget that infamous swan dress?), Bjork has never been known to keep things boring. Oru00a0 simple. True to form, the artist's latest initiative is a state-of-the-art website that uses the very latest HTML 5 technology to give you a unique, even trippy experience.
The revamp isn't totally out of the blue, though. It comes as a lead up to her latest venture Biophile, a multimedia project that encompasses music, Internet, live shows and even apps. To quote the press release: "Biophilia celebrates how sound works in nature, exploring the infinite expanse of the universe, from planetary systems to atomic structure."
If that's too cryptic for you, head to the rather cosmic- looking website, where you'll find Bjork's name spelt out in an astral pattern that moves when you click and drag your mouse across the screen or hold down the Shift and arrow keys. At the bottom of the page is an audio clip that features the woman herself talking about the project.
It sounds simple enough, but click and drag long enough and you'll find yourself getting immersed in the cosmos that appears to draw you in with every drag of the mouse. Now, we can't wait for the album.
