The house hunt...
Began somewhere in mid-2005. Newspapers, brokers and friends were our sources of information. I must have seen around 60 flats across Kandivili, Malad, Goregaon and Andheri. Finally, I came to know about this building through a newspaper ad. Since it was well-priced, I wasted no time in finalising the deal

Arranging the finances...
I arranged for some part of the finances through the sale proceeds of my old home. The rest was financed through a home loan from Reliance Finance. It took me six months to get the loan sanctioned due to some documentation hassles

The flat...
is a spacious 2.5BHK of 1200 sq ft. It is on the sixth floor and offers an
unobstructed view of the surroundings. We have a nice green view from our flat. It is also very airy and gets good sunlight. Moreover, this home is Vaastu compliant

The location...
Amboli is a very peaceful location. It is also well-located with good connectivity to Andheri station, SV Road and the airport. Amboli has a number of schools, hospitals, markets so one doesn't have to travel far for daily needs. Property rates here will appreciate as a number of big builders are developing projects

Lessons learnt...
Get a clear idea about the carpet area of a flat. We had a booked a flat in Kandivili before this, but had to cancel the booking as we saw that the carpet area was much smaller than what was told to us
