Thakre is member of the Legislative Council and took objection to Fadnavis naming him in the Assembly, despite the fact that he (Thakre) is not a member of the Lower House.
"During his reply to a debate on agrarian crisis in Maharashtra in the Assembly, Fadnavis made baseless allegations against me on the issue of a cotton mill promoted by me, for which the government had allocated funds. "Fadnavis said that my family runs on the interest accrued through the funds received from the government. This is not true," Thakre told reporters at Vidhan Bhawan this evening.
"I wish to point out that members of other parties like Shiv Sena and BJP are also directors of the mill," Thakre said.
