The woman was identified as Leela Kunsur of Gandharva Building, 1204/18, first floor. The Deccan police said Kunsur was undergoing treatment, as she had been down with fever some eight days ago and was chronically diabetic. The police said she had gone to the bathroom around 8.45 pm and bolted the door from inside.
Realising she had been in the bathroom for a long time, her sister and nephew started calling out to her, but there was no response. They informed the neighbours and the fire brigade, who pried open the bathroom door and brought out Kunsur in an unconscious state, said the police.
