"Interpol's decision is not shocking at all. It may surprise the Indian media and the common man on the street, but it doesn't surprise me. It should not surprise even the Indian agencies who know in their hearts that their charges are trumped up and fictitious. You can't get Interpol to play your political, communal game," said Zakir Naik in the statement.

Dr. Naik also alleged that the Modi government is falsely implicating him, calling the case a"witch-hunt." I'm not sure what the Modi government gains by falsely implicating me, I'm not even sure for how long this witch hunt will continue. What I'm sure of is that truth is on my side and the Interpol's decision shows that the truth is already winning," says Dr. Naik. He goes on to say that, being on Interpol's list does not automatically make one a terrorist." There's still a fair trial and court verdict needed for that."

The preacher emphasised that his case officers know that he has not committed any crime and affirms that if three years were not enough to gather evidence in his case, chance are they do not exist. He goes on to advise them "to gather enough courage to refuse to be drawn into political games"." Develop a spine and stick to the truth. I don't say that it's what the Upanishads and Vedas say," adds Dr Naik.
The preacher goes on to call out the Modi government alleging that the country has been regressing socially and economically under their leadership."The world is talking about social hatred and the impending financial crisis facing India. It is the worst crisis in the history of this great nation and the future generations are at risk," he added.
