Upset state top cop Ajai Kumar Singh applies for leave after CM stays transfer orders issued by him to 65 senior police officers

All is not well between CM BS Yeddyurappa and state police chief Dr Ajai Kumar Singh for the last few days.

The CM yesterday stayed orders issued by the Director General and Inspector General of police Dr Ajai Kumar Singh transferring 65 senior police officers.

The CM's stay follows complaints by some MLAs, who reportedly said they should have been consulted before the list of officers to be transferred, was prepared.

CM is believed to be upset with the DGP because he allegedly ignored orders to consult the MLAs before issuing transfer orders.
