Drug bust at Agartala railway station, two arrested with 22 kg cannabis

The Government Railway Police (GRP) and the Railway Protection Force (RPF) jointly apprehended a group of drug peddlers at Agartala Railway Station on Thursday late at night. The operation resulted in the seizure of 22 kilograms of dried cannabis. The contraband was intended for transport from Agartala to Patna, Bihar.

The suspects were identified as Purushotam Kumar (23) and Charan Kumar (20), both hailing from Khagaria district in Bihar. Purushotam Kumar, son of Sri Gorelal Yadav, resides in the village of Bhuria, under the jurisdiction of Jamalpur Police Station, with a postal code of 851203. Charan Kumar, son of Jageshwar Yadav, is from Fudki Chawk, in the Gogari police station area of Khagaria, identified by the same postal code of 851203.
