With bakras or goat's getting 'halal', here are some of the goat jokes that ruled the roost today.



According to the belief, the animal originally sacrificed was a ram but has been adapted according to the customs and laws of the land. In India, goats are sacrificed. The meat from the animal sacrifices is given to the poor. One third to one's family and neighbours and the rest is kept for oneself. The spirit of sharing and helping those who are less fortunate is paramount and is the heart of this festival.
