In a remarkable achievement, Nilkrishna Gajare, the son of a farmer from Washim district in Maharashtra, has secured the first rank in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains after dedicated efforts over the past two years. Hailing from Belkhed, a secluded village in Washim, Nilkrishna's rigorous study routine involved devoting more than 10 hours daily to prepare for the exams, reported PTI.

According to the report, the National Testing Agency announced the results of the JEE Mains on Thursday in which Nilkrishna's results were declared.

Nirmal Gajare, Nilkrishna's father, told PTI that he was overjoyed and proud of his son's accomplishment, adding that words could not explain his satisfaction.

"Nilkrishna has always been a brilliant student and was good at sports. He participated in the district and national level tournaments in archery," Nirmal Gajare said.

Nilkrishna completed his elementary education at Rajeshwar Convent in Akola and JC High School in Karanja Lad, Washim, where he lived with his aunt. Nilkrishna was described as a brilliant student with a talent for sports. She excelled in archery, competing in district and national events, the report added.

Reportedly, Nilkrishna, who is currently enrolled in Shree Dnyaneshwar Maskuji Burungale Science and Arts College in Shegaon, follows a rigid regimen that includes waking up at 4 am to study for two hours, engaging in breathing exercises, and focusing on his academics till 10 pm.

Nirmal Gajare stated his hopes for his son, wishing that Nilkrishna would achieve greater success than he had in his own life, the PTI report added.

Nilkrishna's dream is to study at IIT Bombay and eventually become a scientist. With his eyes set on this goal, he is currently preparing for the JEE-Advanced exam, which will be held in Shegaon next month, the PTI report stated.

Nilkrishna's father Nirmal, who is over the moon about his son's success, told PTI, "I wanted him to do well in studies and life and motivated him. I want him to achieve things I never could."

The first phase of JEE-Main took place in April, with the second phase set for May, National Testing Agency (NTA) officials had said earlier. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) consists of two papers. Paper one is used for admission to undergraduate engineering degrees (BE and B.Tech) in NITs, IIITs, and other centrally supported technical institutions, as well as institutions and universities funded and acknowledged by participating state governments.
