Nationalist Congress Party leader Nawab Malik on Wednesday alleged that two persons who were seen arresting and escorting the accused in the Mumbai cruise drug bust case are BJP members.

One among them is K P Gosavi whose photo with Khan went viral on social media a few days ago.

Countering Malik’s allegations, the NCB had said that Gosavi is an independent witness in the case.

Now, the Pune Police has informed that Gosavi was booked in connection with a cheating case in 2018 and has been absconding since.

According to Pune police, Gosavi was booked for allegedly cheating people on the pretext of job offers in Malaysia. Reportedly, the complainant in this case paid Gosavi Rs 3 lakh for a job after coming across an advertisement on his website. But he never got the job."The chargesheet has been filed in the same year and Gosavi is shown as an absconder," said Rajndra Landge, Senior PI Faraskhana police station.
