Amid ongoing Parliament session, Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday wrote to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla over portions of his speech in the House having been expunged, saying "selective expunction" defies logic and that the remarks be restored, reported news agency PTI.
In his first speech as the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi had launched a no-holds-barred attack on the BJP, accusing the leaders of the ruling party of dividing people on communal lines. Certain remarks he made during the discussion on the Motion of Thanks on the President`s Address in the Lok Sabha on Monday were later expunged.
