Featuring prominent Bollywood celebrities like Madhuri Dixit, Juhi Chawla, Preity Zinta, Malaika Arora Khan, Mandira Bedi, Lara Dutta, Mahima Choudhury and Isha Koppikar,who will be walking the ramp in Manish Malhotra outfits, the initiative was launched two years ago by the doctors of Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre to support and promote the cause of the girl child.
&ldquo;The evening will begin with a panel discussion on the subject of the girl child between politician and designer Shaina NC, advocate Mrinalini Deshmukh, educationist Indu Shahani, filmmaker Nagesh Kukunoor, actress Gul Panag and myself,&rdquo; said Coelho, one of the city&rsquo;s better known gynaecologists, adding, &ldquo;And when I saw the actresses rehearsing on the ramp today, I realised I&rsquo;d delivered most of their babies!&rdquo;

The Chairman of the RWITC Vivek Jain, drove up to the Derby track with Mallya in a Woseley Landault, a 1908 rare vintage owned by collector Abbas Jasdanwalla. Jain had earlier driven Vijay in a horse-drawn carriage, a Rolls Royce, a Bentley, and we hear, this has become a new feature of Derby Day!
