Amid the Oil crisis due to ongoing Iran war, two LPG tankers bound for India have successfully crossed the Strait of Hormuz. The development came shortly after Iran’s Ambassador to India Mohammad Fathali signaled that Indian vessels could receive safe passage through the critical shipping route. The envoy described India as a friend and highlighted the longstanding relationship between the two countries, saying Iran and India share common interests in the region. The development also comes after Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian about the escalating conflict in West Asia and emphasized the need for safe energy supply routes and protection of Indian citizens.
