People look at fireworks at the inauguration of the Gävle Goat in Sweden.

It is a giant goat figure made of straw, and is erected each year at the beginning of Advent.
The goat has been burned 26 times since 1966.
Watching Gavle's Goat has become a national pastime in Sweden, where people monitor the goat throughout December with baited breath to see if it will survive. Pic/AFP
