Police suspect that the accused drove too fast over a speed bump, and the ATM machine fell out of the van
Washington: Two thieves, suspected of stealing an ATM machine, made it only to the parking lot, before the machine fell out of the getaway van, according to Snohomish County. Unmindful, the suspects drove away without it.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Shari Ireton said that deputies recovered the ATM on July 20. They believe two men backed up a white van near Lynnwood at around 11 am. On July 19, the duo cut the cables to the ATM and loaded it into the van.
Deputies speculate that the machine must have fallen out of the van when the men drove too fast over a speed bump. The van, which had also been reported missing from Kent, was discovered on the morning of July 20. The van was impounded so deputies could look for evidence.
