How to...

I am not a writer. I've never written a thing in my life, except a shopping list or maybe a stupid essay that most of us are forced to write back in school about 'my summer holiday', 'my favourite festival' or 'our Prime Minister'.

How to...

I am not a writer. I've never written a thing in my life, except a shopping list or maybe a stupid essay that most of us are forced to write back in school about 'my summer holiday', 'my favourite festival' or 'our Prime Minister'.

But I have always had questions. In fact, too many, much to the dismay of my English teacher Mrs Gomes who could never prove to me that Shakespeare was not a woman. I'm still not convinced. She never understood why it was important for me to know. But it was!

Education is a good thing because school is fun (err and also trains you to study hard). But it's only life that can make you learn. I've always wondered, what if the first rehearsal of life is life itself? Nice line, isn't it? It's not mine...read it somewhere, loved it, and use it liberally. Usually works.

So, despite having been through a reasonably grinding education processu00a0-- Commerce and Math topped off with a diploma in Marketingu00a0-- I came out feeling that the more I learnt, the lesser I knew. Okay, this was originally my line, then somebody stole it for a song, or so I firmly believe!

Back to the point: here I was armed with impressive degrees and diplomas ready to conquer the world, and the journey in Mumbai began for an idealistic, excitable and slightly (very slightly) tomboyish Sandhya Mridul.

I have to admit, it didn't all go as I had planned.

I made a lot of mistakes, some of which have names too (but there is no need to wash dirty linen in public because, forgive the cliche, I am who I am because of it.) A flawed but confident person aware of who she is. The one thing I did right was follow every instinct and impulse...I didn't always have the best of everything but I made the most of whatever came my way.

A lot has changed today except for one thing ... I still have many unanswered questions...except, now they are questions I ask of myself, not others, and well maybe God sometimes. What I'm trying to say is whatever we may have achieved, however confident and aware we may become, there will always be questions that need to be asked...till we die.

So, what are they? Life, love, relationships, marriage, career? Go on shoot..Let's do this together.

Love, sandhya
