Face value: The writer feels Jyotiraditya Scindia (left) is on the plump side, while Sachin Pilot (right) is a little too metrosexual for his taste |
But handsome as he is, he seems to have a rapidly receding hairline, a no-no in the good looks department. Besides, I like my boys to be fully local, no unknown foreign quantities please.
That brings me to Jyotiraditya Scindia, a fine head of hair, fully local, and a royal lineage to boot. But he is on the plump side. Let me be shallow, weight and good looks simply don't go together. Ask anybody in Cosmo or GQ.
Omar Abdullah might work for me, but he's out of the running for these elections. Besides, he lives life too dangerously.
Handsomeness should be protected and not be under constant threat.
Sachin Pilot, I would have considered, but he's a little too metrosexual for my taste.
Priya Dutt would have been a plausible option, but if we use the beauty of her mother as a template, then we have comparative issues.
Then we contemplate Nagma. Actors tend to fail more than succeed in politics, but how many politicians themselves are really successful? Nagma has no experience, no political skills and not that many hit films either. But those are not our criteria. Of course, if she's had plastic surgery, then all bets are off.
At the top of the order is Maanayata Dutt. If Sanjay thinks she's pretty, then we must all agree. She also has a, ummm...well-received item number in Gangaajal to her credit. And clearly, she knows how to play the game. Who better to vote for than an item girl in the Bollywood masala movie that is the Indian elections?
