While people in Dubai, an Islamic emirate, celebrate Valentine's Day with great fanfare, it's a pity that people in India, the largest secular democracy in the world, are being hunted and hounded by hardliners who brand the festival of love as uncivilised, obscene and against Indian culture.
When India is in the midst of liberalisation and globalisation and our youngsters live the way they want in a liberal society, what's the logic in saying that with one day's festival of love our youngsters will become corrupt and uncivilised? The moral police should live and let live
