While the fate of the Aarushi murder case remains unknown, unpredictable and doubtful, one thing is clear: the mystery behind the brutal killing is beyond belief. Even if a conclusion's coming soon, there would be questions that would still remain unanswered.

Were Aarushi's parents behind the conspiracy? Was the so-called 'compromising position' for real? Did Noida police come on record in a jiffy because they wanted to present it as an open and shut case so that they could hide a bigger nexus? Was wife-swapping really the reason that Aarushi hated her parents for? If all these questions seem baseless, were the three servants, who were arrested, and later released, smart and powerful enough to change the samples that were sent to the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics, Hyderabad?
Within a week of the murder, three top-ranked police officers u2014 Meerut Inspector General of police Gurdarshan Singh, Deputy Inspector General P C Meena and Noida Senior Superintendent of Police A Satish Ganesh u2014 on the case, who claimed to have solved the Noida double murder, were transferred. And the case was handed over to the CBI. Why didn't the Mayawati government believe in the capabilities of its star officers?
This case was more remarkable in a way because there was lot of inquisitiveness among general public. It's known that often, investigating officials frame innocent people, but it happens only in the cases which are not known, or those that the media doesn't report about. In a case like Aarushi's, where there so much media involvement, how can vagina swab samples be manipulated? As a reporter, I have never ever been so curious and dedicated to a particular story than this, because it was a real murder mystery, more sinister that any of Sherlock Holmes'. The guts of the real culprits and their accomplices must be 'applauded'. Most of the electronic news channels who had stationed their broadcasting vans at the Talwar's spent lakhs of rupees on fuel itself, so that they don't miss a single second of the action. But the way officer after officer was transferred, it didn't seem like money was the only manipulator. Who or what was causing even senior IPS officers from revealing the truth? Maybe, the truth will be revealed in their post-retirement autobiographies.
Even for the CBI, the case was an opportunity to win everyone's faith and support, but the investigating agency lost its chance. Now, senior IPS officer Arun Kumar has been sent back to his state cadre UP following the startling revelation about the surreptitious replacement of Aarushi's vaginal swab. Does the CBI think it'll save itself from criticism this way? The harm has been done. And the outcomes, none.
