We, the law-abiding citizens of Mumbai, need to condemn such short-sighted politics, which threaten to cause further deterioration in civic services such as water supply, electricity supply and sanitation.
Through such actions, political parties are exploiting the city's civic resources and encroaching upon the space that belongs to Mumbaikars by using the poor as bait.
Such vote bank politics benefitu00a0 no one.
The public must demand withdrawal of the proposed ordinance for regularising slums and hutments built until the year 2000.
