The Bigg Boss chronicles

The Bigg Boss Season 3 finale was the best episode of the show till date. It had everything dance, masti, drama and the ever-important flashback. However, the producers did miss an important event in the flashback Vinod Kambli snoring. It sounded like a string of mini explosions and I still cannot forget the expression on Rohit Verma's face when he got up in the middle of the night to the jarring sound. I have a feeling that the snoring might have been one of the causes of Kambli's early exit.

What hurt me the most, however, was Poonam Dhillon not winning the show. I think, and I'm sure many others will agree, that she deserved the title the most.

Shortlisting candidates must have begun for the next season. My vote goes to Rajesh Khanna!

But does it really matter, given that the previous winners of the show have failed to make a difference to society or even to their careers? Rahul Roy, the expressionless winner of the first season, is still as unknown as he was before the show. I think he won because no one ever noticed him. Even the winner of season two, Ashutosh, seems to have gone into oblivion. No one has any idea whether he is running his dhaba back in his village or is a participant of another reality show on some unknown channel. I think Shilpa Shetty got more popular than the show itself while hosting it.

In the same vein, I wonder whether Vindoo Dara Singh's victory in Bigg Boss 3 will have any major impact on his life. I never knew about Vindoo before he entered the show and don't care what he does henceforth. He has to be given credit for working hard towards his win, though. He was always been in the news for all his antics, fighting and his famous line 'desh dekh raha hai'.

No matter what, the show does come as a relief for people like me who have no masala in their life and, hence, try looking for it onscreen. Rohit Verma could have given the Tulsis and Parvatis a run for their money with the constant tears in his eyes. Bakhtiyar and Rohit seemed to be competing to shed the most tears. The prem kahani of Pravesh and Claudia was boring, but the firang did make the show interesting with her halting Hindi.

The three self proclaimed wolves Aditi, Tanaaz and Shamita actually did nothing meaningful and I don't understand why they pulled down Raju's shorts.

My mom always asks me whether I know who the real Bigg Boss is, but I'm as clueless as her. Now that the show is off air, I think the producers would have already started shortlisting the probable candidates for the next season. My vote goes to Rajesh Khanna!
