True, meaningful relationships are formed when we are loved and accepted for who we really are at the core, and not simply for acting the right way so as to keep the other person happy in it. Relationships are really what makes the world go round, aren't they? I mean, good, positive, healthy and meaningful relationships provide us with the richest experiences we have here on this old earth of ours.
Just look around yourself, and you will find a dozen relationships that you haven't even considered calling that.
It's not necessarily the most important one that stays up and above the rest, but the contribution of several smaller emotionally attached bonds that make our lives worth living. Your lover, partner or spouse who shares everything with you; that best friend who connects with you like few others do; the people at work who appreciate your efforts and help you to become the best that you can be; this is what brings joy to life!

But relationships can also be the bane of our existence! Nothing brings more pain than a broken relationship, especially when it isn't just broken but downright ugly!
When two people refuse to acknowledge each other, or for that matter stop communicating or even worse begin bitching about each other; that's when a relationship begins to poison one's life. The good times have disappeared and is replaced by a colossal proportion of hatred and evil.
Relationships were meant to be fun! We wouldn't have been made with the capacity to have fun if relationships weren't supposed to have a little zest in them! Think about it: Don't you usually start out most healthy relationships with a lot of fun times? Fun is the vital ingredient in the glue that binds the relationship.

But as life goes on, the fun starts to go by the wayside. And that is where one has to put in the extra effort to make the relationship work; to bring back the good times.
And believe me, it's not really a Herculean task to have fun. All one has to do is look in the mirror and ask oneself, do I want to be happy today? The answer will help you make your life and the lives of other around you happier. It's a relationship, and it sails on happiness.
So be happy, and share the joy.
