Instead of solving problems in their own country, authorities in Pakistan blame India, as always, for the terror attack

Pakistan played the blame game and held India responsible for the attack on Sri Lankan cricketers in Lahore
yesterday.

"The evidence which we have got shows that these terrorists entered from across the border from India," said Sardar Nabil Ahmed Gabol, minister of state for shipping. "This was a conspiracy to defame Pakistan internationally," he added. Nabil said, "This incident is a reaction to 26/11."

Lahore Commissioner Khushro Pervaiz said there is a probability of India being behind the attack. He said, "Indian involvement cannot be ruled out."

Gen (retired) Hameed Gul, a former chief of the ISI said India wanted to declare Pakistan a terrorist state and the firing on the Sri Lankan team was related to that conspiracy. "It is a declaration of open war on Pakistan by India," said Nabil.

Foreign minister Pranab Mukherjee said, "I request the Pakistani authorities not to divert the attention of the international community, but to dismantle the terrorism infrastructure and take stiff measures against the perpetrators. Only then will such issues be adequately addressed."
