Sixteen Taliban militants, including a top commander, were killed by Pakistani security forces during operations in the restive Swat valley and the Orakzai tribal region yesterday, officials said.
Militant commander Ali Rehman alias Sparlay and his companion Habibur Rehman were killed when they attacked troops conducting a search operation in the Fatehpur area of Swat district.
